Reading a Listing Before You Buy

Because a gift is often bought without the recipient beside you, the listing has to carry more weight than usual. We try to describe each item plainly: what it is, what it is made of, how large it is, what travels inside the box, and, where relevant, where a personalisation will be placed.

Please study the photographs alongside the description. Props and additional pieces shown in a picture are included only when the description names them as part of the product. Colours can read slightly differently from screen to screen, and handmade or personalised pieces may vary a little in grain, tone, texture, or finish. Those differences are often part of how such pieces are made rather than a fault.

Where a listing offers engraving, monogramming, printing, or another personal touch, please slow down and check the details. Spelling, dates, initials, and placement matter more than usual, because a personalised piece is made for one person and cannot return to the shelf for the next customer. If you are unsure how a custom option will appear, ask us before you order.
